Melissa Trahan
Melissa Trahan is Farewill’s VP of People; as part of the executive leadership team and a trained executive coach, her focus is to make Farewill an amazing place to work through designing an employee experience and cultural systems that support the ongoing growth, performance and development of the business. Melissa was formerly Director of People at online clothes discovery service Thread, where she built a progressive, inclusive, values-driven culture with an offer acceptance rate of over 90% and co-authored Thread’s culture deck (140k views). As Head of Talent at Passion Capital, an early-stage VC firm, Melissa advised over 30 founding teams on how to build their companies and approach their People function. Melissa began her career at Facebook where she built their internal leads generation program that enabled collaboration between recruiting and engineering. In 2011 she was Facebook’s top-producing engineering sourcer across all technical recruiting teams. With a degree in Women Gender & Sexuality Studies and lifelong feminist, Melissa cares deeply about helping women advance their careers. Originally from Cambridge Massachusetts, Melissa now lives in Cambridge UK with her partner and two cats. In her spare time, her interests vary from wild swimming to gardening; she loves to cook and entertain her friends.
