Simana is Global VP of Engineering for Risk & Compliance at SumUp. At SumUp she is responsible for preventing and mitigating risk, fraud, financial crime and addressing regulatory compliance, with smart, global, and automated solutions built using machine learning and AI. Simana is a board director at SumUp and champion of AI across the company.
Simana was selected as an official member of the Forbes Technology Council in March 2023. Forbes Technology Council is an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives, and Simana was vetted and selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of her experience and business impact. Previously Simana has won the John Caples Bronze award for best use of creative technology and is a dedicated speaker at various industry events.
